the Dill Pickle Clubby jjbeguinComment: This group name sounds like a deli sandwich. Maybe it because it's almost lunch time. Hmm. Excellent and creative! My only issue is the sky. It has lots of compression artifacts or maybe it's just noise. Otherwise, great job! 9 |

Breakfast for twoby eirasiComment: Maybe I'm being picky but counting the number of people, including the one holding the paper, I see five people, six if you want to include the drawing on the coffee mug. Plus the text on the newspaper is not that interesting. |

Earth From Above by hopperComment: Hey, this is really good! Personally, I would have liked it even more if the book and figure were in the upper left corner and in the same pose. As it is, it feels too centered. Great concept! 7 |

Fly or bugby mamcgComment: OK, maybe I'm missing something but where are the words and letters? |

Freeze to Pleaseby ericabluComment: Nice concept and I like doors/facades but this one has an odd feeling to it. It's definitely not level despite the sidewalk not being level itself. I would have used the edge where the brick meets the blue part of the facade and made that vertical or made sure the doorway/entrance was horizontal. Also appears a bit overexposed. |

Angel by heidaComment: I swear I voted on this entry, I SWEAR! Don't know what happened but it was one of my favorites to get a top three. Congratulations on your top prize! |

Psst, wanna buy a hat?by MrAkamaiComment: Thanks for your comments, Tom. I actually replied to your comments in the "burnout thread" when I should have done so here. But I do agree with your issues and I need to get more Photoshop skills under my belt before I can take further advantage of its features.
There is only one point I'd like to provide a counterpoint and that's issue E. I presume you are talking about the one with the blue trim? If so, I purposefully blurred those hats in the front to increase focus on the model/dancer yet show that his purpose is to sell hats.
Thanks again, Tom! |
