Clicked "Quote" instead of "Edit"...

Doing her wedding photos in two months :-)

Simply perfect. This makes me realize how much I tend to oversharpen my portraits. This look is really what I should be aiming for.

Turning the photo upside down would actually be more like the deceased's POV, but that would probably make it too abstract.
The angle itself works for me, except that it's difficult to see whether the cross or the trees are the subject. Might work better if cropped differently, but I can't "see" an obvious crop to try out.

My favourite thing about the photo is that everything but the sky looks b/w. It works well here, and gives the photo a good feel of the kind of serenity you can only find in a cemetary.

Pure genius :-)
Those eyes really manage to tell a story, in their own way.

Hmm... I kinda like the the white area. I don't have the original on this computer, but I think there were lights installed in the walls at this restaurant. When I get back from work I'll see if I can remove it in PS.
Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks for commenting.
No dodging or burning on this one. The angle was chosen mostly as a diagonal experiment :-)

Thanks :-)
I was surprised I could get the shot in focus at all at f/1.8. I just autofocused on her ear, switched to manual to focus just a bit closer, tapped her shoulder, and took the photo as she turned around.

The original was in landscape orientation, but after I entered this in an "Eyes" photo challenge on worth1000.com I got a good suggestion on how to crop it.

This is one of the best photos I've seen on DPC. I like the "classic" look of it, and the harmonious composition. Shots like this is why I became interested in photography in the first place.
