or he really is used to people, which is probably worse for him, esp. when he is eating garbage already at such a young age. Isn't it such a gift to be able to spend time with wildlife. Just be careful you don't start to smell too much like his dinner, he may confuse you : )

he is a cool critter, i have not seen one of these guys before.
i think it is a good shot and the background is blurred even at 6.3 but I would like to see it even at maybe a 4.0 or something (not sure which lens was taken with)
My folks are in that area I will have to check out that preserve next time I am there.

Very nice, I do not think your iso needs to be higher for this shot, from my experience noise in the dark colored bears fur can be tough to deal with, so I think you did well, she is a beautiful sow with a nice meal too : )

I sort of like you shot, tho it makes me very, very sad.
Such great creatures eating garbage.
I have to say it is not my experience that bears first instinct is to attack, but the car is not a bad thing to have close by. I love the pose of the one on the right.
