"Mums" the Word!!by dolphnz8Comment: Greetings from the CC.
This shot to me is very well done overall, I like the light on the yeollw, and the DOF is great that you can see the other flowers. The black really helps the yellow to pop. The compostion is also good I think, yet something overall is not working, I think it may be the orange background. I would like to see some maybe with all black? Actually I think it is the combo of the black and the orange you have 2 backgrounds and a strong flower and even tho they all work individually I think my eye is not sure where to land. And the quality of the light seems different in each part. All the elements are really well done, but together they are competing. I hope that helps. I think you are extremely close to a really great image.
Well done, congrats on a well placed image! |

Sunsetby hotpastaComment: Greetings from the CC!
Very nice job, no distracting elements, good light and colors.
What I like most is your choice of composition is good but my favorite is what you chose as the ' most in focus' this is not the typical focal point but with all the other very well chosen aspects the focal point serves to give this flower a unique take.
Can't be too critical it's a lovely shot. If I had a personal dislike/criticism it would only be to desaturate the yellow a little bit.
Congrats on a great image! |

Moonlight Sonataby Joey LawrenceComment: Greetings from the CC. Wow Joey, nice change of pace for you! You are so talented. What I like about this image is the mood that you are conveying. What really is what you do successfully in all the shots I have seen of yours. The subtle light, color and fog here all make a dreamy and beautiful sultry image. I like that the glistening light on the flower tips is also on the edge of the shore, makes for a good continuity in the image.
Excellent use of the foreground, nice compostion. Excellent job again, Kudos!

Flowers on a Glass Tableby chaliceComment: Hi Greetings from the CC
I think you are on to a very cool idea here, I really like the idea of using a mirror. I also really like your compostion, the similar color flowers as in vase is also nice. I think this may have done better if you could of done it with a black background vs white it would of added a lot of drama to your image. I am not sure also about the sharpness here. It kind of looks soft, tho it may be that they are silk flowers? Making them look fuzzy a little.
Hope that helps

dragon flyby albc28Comment: Greetings from the CC. This is a good use of DOF and nice subject. I really like the light on the back wings tho I do wish the eyes were a bit clearer/sharper and that the foreground wing was sharp. Tho this is a unique take. I think you overall have a nice image, I think it would be stunning if the dragon was facing the viewer.
Nice work keep it up!

Well you get points for creativity! This is odd, certainly makes you look a second time. This image does not really say 'beautiful flower' but I am sure it could be used to advertised something somewhere, technically it is a very good photo, clear, sharp, good colors. I find the central compostion a little flat, might like to see it moved up or down a little, but given how you got this image I think you did pretty well.
(the other thing is if you left more room you could have room for text, esp cuz I think it is a stock kind of image)
hope that helps
