There is way to much to look at in your shot. My suggestion would be to climb up the stairs and re-shoot. I do like your 'profile' perspective.

Needed to be done in depth of field mode to blur background and is a little overexposed

Taking this shot in portrait mode would of helped to blurr the background so not distracting. It is also overexposed in few spots.

The black of the background helps to dullen the 'over-gold' feel.

Hmm, needs to be taken in portrait mode to increase depth of field, so background is blurred and not distracting.

This is the shot normally i think i would like, my impression is that it does not match, (but what do I know). Explanation: I feel like the leaves have a luminous quality, which i really like, they are light and airy. The sculpture however is dark and heavy. Which I also like. But together they feel conflicted to me. Especially with leaves being on both sides, my focus feels pulled back and forth. I think you are attempting something here which is just on the edge of something great, like to see some similar shots with different tones/effects.

good depth of field, nice stones in the statute, white parts on sky a little distracting, not too bad tho, good work

I like this shot more on my second look than I did on my first. The lighthouse seems a bit too white, like taken in bright sun yet you have managaed to tone it down in a way that works. I like the soft feel of it, shot feels nostolgic. NOt sure about the think black border though, maybe half the size i find it distracting to your very nice image.
