Brakes! Brakes!by killjoy181Comment: Wonderfully shot - the supreme inelegance of the gull's position is highlighted by the wing flapping resulting from you judicious choice of shutter speed. Like the title too. |

Tattered & Torn by trevytrevComment: Wow. Very different to your standard dragonfly shot. There's something quite sad about seeing these wings in decay. If I have one criticism it's that the blue body seems a little too bright, perhaps this could have been toned down a bit? Overall I love the shot. |

Ave Mariaby grigrigirlComment: An incredible image. There's something quite ghostly and outwordly about it. It fascinates me and unsettles me at the same time. In short, a real work of art, and I mean that quite sincerely. |

The Wave by TLL061Comment: Wonderful subject, superb composition. On my (uncalibrated) screen the overall effect does seem a bit dark. The dark sky is fabulous but I wonderful if it might be wise to lighten the rest a little? |

Walkers hang-up!by wingyisleedsComment: Unusual shot of a subject you don't see very often! The composition works in that we have the fence splitting the picture into thirds, but having the shoes off-centre doesn't quite draw our attention to them like it should. I think the focus is a wee bit off as well. I took the liberty of making this monochrome via the channel mixer in PS - I think it looks great with 100% green. Give it a try and see what you think. I'd suggest also a bit of USM with specific reference to the fence and the shoes. |
