Womanby MAKComment: Well lit and an unusual choice of colour for your background. However if I'm being honest there doesn't seem to be anything interesting in her expression. I don't feel any sort of communication or empathy with the subject. It's all a subjective thing and others will probably think differently. |

Quiet Pleaseby MarioAngelComment: A daring composition which doesn't quite work for me. Firstly, you need to lose that dark bit in the bottom left which is very easy to do under advanced editing. The crop is an awkward one - I would think if a little more of your subject was included it could work better. Overall I think the brightness of your background is interfering with your subject, the bit next to the arm is the most obvious example. |

Laughing Birdby MWittComment: Nice conversion and an interesting subject. His expression seems to be hiding so many things. |

Death of a Saguaroby FotoHunterComment: The top part of the sky is excellent, though perhaps a little dark. Below that it's all a bit too bright and some of the clouds look unnaturally burnt out. Having said all that I really like the shot and the clouds at the top are super. |

Dreaming of a Jungle Skyby GiloComment: The lighting is good here and the subject is a very interesting one. IMO a wee bit of USM could have done wonders here, and with these kind of shots it does help if the subject is looking into the camera. |

Kansas Goldby brizmamaComment: Nice composition and DOF, but just not sharp enough unfortunately. |

The Lion Kingby TommyMoe21Comment: I think that if the lion were looking into the camera, your score for this would gain at least a mark. As it is we are left feeling detached and the image quality is not particularly great - it's just a bit too noisy and over-sharpened. However I do think you've done remarkably well under difficult shooting conditions. |

beach bikeby PoobaComment: A pleasant shot with good composition, though it lacks the 'wow' factor to do well in a free study. I also wonder if the image is a little on the flat side contrast-wise? |
