Taken at the 2007 Denver Scout Camporee

Laughing Bird is the woman to the left. The young man has this look because of the irritating sound of Laughing Bird's laugh. Truth be known, I think he'd like to scalp the woman, but instead he is doing his best to ignore her and focus on me.

Great candid. I love his stare. He doesn't really seem to be laughing all that much lol.

I find the vignetting a little distracting but still a great candid(?) portrait.

An interesting glimpse of traditional American life. I wish Laughing Bird himself made just a little more connection with the camera, but I really like the sepia treatment a lot here.

I find the people on the left to be distracting, but I really like the young man himself. Good tonal values and lighting.

I think the people on the left detract a bit from the real portrait of the gentleman.

A tighter crop to eliminate the people on left may have helped, although I like how they are not in focus, so they are less distracting. That gaze the subject is giving is really awesome.

Nicley lit portrait. I'm torn as to whether I like the inclusion of the people to the left or not. Would I have cropped it differently or not? Hmmmm, no I guess not I tink you got it right

Nice conversion and an interesting subject. His expression seems to be hiding so many things.
