perhaps you should have straightened this up a little bit. It also seems to lack a focal point. Good luck, Todd.

nice shot, this is a good angle, I like the composition.... I'd be interested to know what it was that you photographed this on, it has an interesting texture. Good luck, Todd.

Hi Yoshio, thanks for entering your photo for Home Sweet Home.
Firstly I will address the relevance issue. I don't see the relevance to the challenge and I think, based on your comment under the photrographer's comments, you probably agree. Yes, it is a creative view of the topic, but I think it is quite a stretch actually.

Having got relevance out of the way, I think this is quite a good shot. I feel that perhaps it would have been better to have had better focus on the closer mushroom. Being the bigger of the two mushies it would have served as a better focal point.

The shot itself has a nice flow to it and I like the shallow depth of field in terms of how the background makes the mushroom stand out. Perhaps a deeper depth of field would have allowed you to get all the mushrooms in focus, I doubt that at this distance you would have had to worry about losing the loss of focus in the background.

There is a nice symmetry with the log and the out of focus stick in the background. Overall it is a well composed image with just a couple of niggling little technical faults which would have made it a much stronger image.

Thanks again for sharing this image with us and keep shooting.

Well done,
Todd.

Very good! This gets my humourous #1 of the week award. One suggestion, a little lip balm for that bottom lip! Oh and hope you washed the quid before you went getting folks to stick it on their tongue!!! I'm giving this a 10! Good Luck, Todd.
