Waiting For The Summerby MonaComment: The colour of the boats gives impact to this image. The pussywillows in the foreground are a bit distracting. |

GTby WILDBLUEComment: One thing that would give more impact to this image would be if the mustang on the hubcap were right side up. Composition, exposure are good. |

Transportation by sea by eikidigiComment: A combined entry, transportation and fauna. A little more space in front of the boat to include the entire reflection may add impact. Exposure is good. |

stopped trainsby myles13Comment: I'm guessing that evaluative metering was used here which makes the foreground and part of the trains very dark. There are two ways that would bring the train out more.
1. Take a reading (evaluative) with less sky in the picture, lock the exposure and recompose - all done with the shutter button pressed half way. Then push the shutter button the rest of the way.
2. (Easier) Use spot metering on the area of the picture you want to expose for, recompose and take the picture. |

Loading or Unloadingby ChezComment: Good composition and contrast.
Depth of field is a little shallow or the focus is not sharp. The landscape mode on the camera or setting the aperture to the smallest possible (largest number) would help for this type of image. If focus is the issue then using a faster shutter speed or a tripod and the self timer/remote would help keep the image in sharp focus. Even the pushing of the shutter button can move the camera enough to put an image out of focus. |
