Wings of Beautyby qazwixComment: I like how you captured the fur (if you can call it that) on the body and edge of the wings. Cropped just a little too close though (needs more space all around, especially on top so the butterfly has some place to go/look). |

midnight in the garden of good and elvisby jbruno1397Comment: Elvis..... has left the garden. I repeat, Elvis..... has left the garden.
( I know this isn't helpful but this is what came to mind when I saw this photo - based on the title)
A little more light at the end of the path could probably add to the impact of this image and would help lead the viewer through it more. |

last tryby oljyComment: This image looks like a comparison between the baren soil and a well used shovel. Adding more space on the right could probably provide more impact. |

Tentative Reachingby KonadorComment: Lovely contrast and the vine leads the viewer right in to the image to the greying gate. |

Elvish landscapingby JimBComment: Very interesting image. The sharp water droplets nicely contrast with the out of focus ones. The plant poking in at the left is a bit distracting though. By taking that out the impact would most likely increase. - 8 |

A Ruby Throated Hummingbird In The Gardenby GolferDDSComment: Well captured. Good stop action. Don't a hummingbird's wings beat at a trillion miles a second? The green leaf on the left is a bit distracting. Cropping it out would make the bird more prominent within the frame. |

Flying aroundby vignirComment: Well captured. The focus may be just a little off though. An increase in DOF would help with this. With these kind of shots apperture priority (Av) mode might help. |

Take a shady chairby jjimComment: This gives a nice tranquille, inviting and cosy feel. Losing some of the trees on the right would probably increase this effect. All that's needed is a side table with an overturned paperback and a jug of something cold. |

Through the weedsby HavokComment: Good choice of black and white. The contrast is good. The impact here I believe is from the verticle lines created by the leaves. Did you try this image in the vertical format to emphasize this? |
