Morningby cpanaiotiComment: This is a crop from a larger photo. My original idea was to include the entire shadow behind the bench, however that put the bench right in the middle. Another option was to not crop at all but that included some lens flare, which I like, but I believe would have produced a lower score than this crop did. The original link is below.

Last Day's Lightby Resusit8uComment: The feel of the water here is very pleasant, however the bright area at the top is very distracting. I think a graduated ND filter would have probably helped to tone it down. 6 |

Blazing Bladesby OlyuziComment: The light here is sweet, however, the small triangle of dark grass in the bottom left detracts from the rest of the image. Cropping from the bottom so that triangle is removed I think would improve the impact of the image. 6 |

Who are you?by sjonniComment: The cow on the left is hilarious. It's too bad about the partial cow on the right, a bit distracting. 6 |

Heading back homeby DufusComment: Mouse eye view.... I like the perspective you chose, however the image could use a bit more contrast to make the bee stand out a bit more. 6 |

Just...hold...little...longerby markmyshotsComment: You've done very well with depth of field and the colours are nice. However, the bright spot at the bottom is a bit distracting and the main subject is a little too central. It could be put off center be cropping about 1/4 of the picture off the lefthand side. Also, this may have worked better in a vertical composition to emphasize the stems of the flowers. 6 |

Kateby BobsterLobsterComment: *** Critique Club ***
Me again, I drew two of yours in a row.
The lighting on the left is wonderful, however I think maybe a small amount of light coming from the right to balance it would give this image greater impact and soften some of the shadows on your model's face as well as bring out some detail in her hair. This could be done using a reflector.
You've done well with the catch light in her eyes. The composition works well with your model looking into the negative space.
Keep shooting.

England 4, Croatia 2by BobsterLobsterComment: *** Critique Club ***
The colour and the exposure on the flag are good, however I get the feeling there is something missing. It could be the fact that the entire flag isn't visible or the fact that the person with their arm raised doesn't have much visible detail.
More details in the photo to identify with England I believe would make this a better image and portray the emotion that your title implies better.
Good choice of topic for this challenge.
Keep shooting.

Raindrops on Wildflowerby pmichaudComment: The droplet on the flower with the reflection is terrific, however the flower at the bottom is a bit distracting. The image would probably still be ballanced without it. 7 |
