Telephoneby MichaelCComment: Cool shot. Great exageration of camera shake. One thing though, the bottom left corner feels a little empty. |

treeby visaksenComment: Compositionally I think you've done well, lining the drum and tree up on the diagonal to add depth. However, the horizon is slightly tilted to the left and the angle of the beach is a bit distracting. Maybe cropped a little too tight on top.
Just an opinion though.
Keep shooting. |

You and Iby qbicleComment: Juxtaposition of the benches works very well in this image, however the crop may be slightly too tight on the left.
Even though the benches appear level the slanted horizon is a little distracting. A little more contrast between the benches and the grass I think would improve the impact. |

Hello DPC!by marvinComment: *** Critique Club ***
First Impression: Good colour and contrast. Lighting (flash) is a bit too harsh. Shadow from hand and arm distracts.
Composition: Placement of your subject seems to work and you've managed to keep from cropping at joints like wrists and elbows (a rule of thumb when doing portraits or shots of people/animals).
Exposure: Seems ok as the skin tones and other colours appear natural.
Impact: Expressions on children's faces can usually carry a shot despite other imperfections. In this image I feel that the flash lighting is quite harsh and takes away from the impact.
I'm sure if you set up some other lights and avoided the on board flash you could get some very pleasing images of the child.
Keep shooting.

Man and his Dogsby Buckeye_FanComment: Great shot. I love the depth of the landscape. The man and his dogs works very well in the foreground as well. |

kitty3.JPGby Buckeye_FanComment: Looks like a very sweet, very well fed kitty. Nice pose. If you see her again you might want to try composing with her more to the left. |

Ghosts of Winterby NeilComment: Neil, the shapes produced by the movement are quite interesting. On the right looks like a person standing (beige part as the head) and on the left appears to be the head of a cat. |
