Someone gave it a 2? This was one of my favorites. I love the colors, patterns, and wavy distoration of the background - with the image still in crisp focus. Very, very nicely done.

Excellent image. This transcends the man and the background and speaks to oh, so much more. I was trying to figure out what contributes to the effect, and came up with: the man's expression - appears to be a combination of concern and endurance - care lines, expression, etc; no hands - conveys a sense of being rather than doing, weeds convey a sense of obstacles overcome and being dead, the temporary nature of the obstacles; the buildings seem to indicate past accomplishments; the sky is representative of our world - some clouds, but also some sunshine; the band of light through the lower part of the image helps to keep the eye in the image; the frame of the thistle also communicates obstacles while simultaneously assisting with eye control. I'm sure there's much more as well.
To me, this is not just a picture. It is art.

My suggestions would be to rotate slightly to your left, making the 42 42 42 42 42 more centered. To the right of the post doesn't add to the photograph, and and getting the entire left overhead sign might have removed a distraction. Maybe straightening - the strong horizontal lines accentuate the tilt. And maybe a bit more "breathing room" for the ladies' foot - the top of the image isn't buying you anything either.
I really did like the shot - reminds me of "Waiting on Godot ... er Subway" Nice exposure. Great mood!

FWIW - I found the debris over the 3 very distracting, and since the 34 carries more visual weight than the 02:16, it draws the eye to the debris. The shadows on the left of the image appear to be over important elements. Not sure exactly what you were going for, but there are enough distracting elements present to prevent it from giving a clear message.
