Trip to the Shelterby brayburnComment: Awwwww :-) My girlfriend and I have a self-imposed ban from animal shelters, or we'd come back with all the animals ;-) |

as the shadows creep inby nixterComment: Very clever. Love all the textures and patterns on the pavement. A smidgen later when she was in the centre of the lit area and it'd have been prefect |

Nadal Serves Up Perfection at the US Openby hazeComment: Great capture. Slightly oversharpened in places. I'd possibly have cropped out the logos. It sort of looks a bit like an advert ;-)
I'm a bit biased as Nadal is about to play my compatriot Andy Murray in the Semi Finals (I guess tomorrow?) If Rafa wins I may be forced to bump you down to 1 out of spite ;-) (j/k) |

Strix Nebulosaby Ecce_SignumComment: Nice one Andi. Was this at Banham? Well done for not oversharpening the plumage. I'm in two minds whether I prefer this to the full colour version though.
I haven't given you a score as I know it's you but if I did it'd be at least a 7 or an 8 :-) |

Royal's Roostby mpetersComment: Terrific sky. I didn't know Ansel Adams was alive and well and was a member of DPC ;-) |

A Look Back in Timeby cpanaiotiComment: What are we looking at him through? Or is it a mirror? In any case, the natural framing you've given him adds to the sense of separation from him, as if if we are looking on him from somewhere else in space and time. Perfect title for the shot. |

"Talent develops in quiet, Character in the torrent of the world”by Pipe_DreamComment: A nice title (I should recognise the quote but I'm afraid I don't) and fits the plight of these brave men and women perfectly. There is a combination of natural trepidation but resoluteness in your subjects, particularly the main focal point of the young man second from the right. I like the way you've shot them from the side, giving the photo physical depth to go with the emotional depth in the shot.
Very well done. One of my top picks for the challenge. in fact a 10 from me. |

Escapeby NeilComment: lovely B&W scene. I like that the jetty and trees in top right and bottom left frame the corners of the image. |

My Mumby dd1989Comment: Excellent detail on her face, very candid. I trust you've entered this shot with her blessing? ;-) |
