Bright Girlsby pjangelComment: I enjoy the spirit in this shot - teen girls are the same everwhere.. right down to their expressions.. I say this having a grandaughter about their age :) - as others have noted, the colors are fun, adding interest - I think having the chaotic colors up top works well in this instance. |

Silhouette by pjangelComment: I like that there is detail in the sihloutte - I wonder what the woman is photographing up in the sky |

victdp.jpgby IraklisComment: Color, color, beautiful color, too bad I was the only one to notice that eh (grin) - I like how this photo is broken up into a grid - each square is a different shade, making it look like a painting - great job. |

outsiderby tnunComment: I think it was a good choice to expose for the b/g as I agree with what others have posted that the woman really makes this shot interesting... the guy in the foreground seems to be setting up to make his lunch. |

tykesby tnunComment: I like the crispness and high contrast in this shot.. as other's have mentioned, your crop really brings the focus onto the children and the adults who are not paying attention, made all the more ominous indeed by the sign.. really holds my interest. |

00001CFL_0623.jpgby ericwooComment: What comes to mind as I view this shot is the strength of the composition - the tonal quality and the DOF - this could be a text book example of what to do right. The picture to me tells this story - a couple of old friends talking about times gone by - but you know what - to me the central subject is the fountain, even though it is OOF, it is beautiful. Great job. Next time come up with a title will ya? Grin.
edited to fix typo - thank you tnun :)Message edited by author 2008-10-04 13:58:23. |

The performerby MaggyeComment: NIce lighting on this photo .. like the DOF, adds to the isolation of the character from the b/g - as far as learning how to process b&w, it really depends on what look you are going for and what software you are using - check out the forums as there are some great tutorials there ... I am no expert but would also be willing to share the little I know. |
