Day 02 - Feederby shalrathComment: I am late getting to my comments so I am not reading the comments made by others . Please forgive me if I repeat what others have already said:
What struck me first was the gentle/kind expression on the face of the man.. did you shoot this from the hip or did you choose to tilt this shot? The reason I asked is that I think it would be more effective if it was not quite as tilted .. your pp is interesting.. gives it a feeling of years gone by... not a fan of vingetting in all instances .. not in this one at least.. I like your crop .. the bicycle in the frame makes me think that when he is done he will get up and leave - all in all a nice shot and an interesting story for me to make up in my mind. |

This shot kinda creeps me out ... maybe because I am a mom and a grandma... she is looking at the little child like she/he is a bug under a microscope.. or maybe it is just the way you processed it.. (I am being kind to the mom here ok) the more I look at it the more weirded out I get.. sorry bvy.. that's it for me. |

Day 01 - Aloneby shalrathComment: I am not going to read others comments as I am late in posting so forgive me if I duplicate them
I like the wee benches that are empty that lead the eye to her.. I also like the pp to a degree.. I do find it overbright as I want to see more detail in her and I am straining to but can't see what it is she is doing.. too much detail is lost in the path way as well as I believe it would hold wonderful textures, but I could be wrong and it might be very boring and you spared me that, ... not sure why you added the vingette.. to me it did not add drama, did not make my eye go to her.. but you are the artist and you might have had other reasons that I am ignorant of.. still when all is said and done, this is a lovely study and I have enjoyed seeing it .. thank you. |

What an odd capture in that nothing is crisp except for the man slightly wizened face.. and an interesting face it is.. he is grabbing for a smoke, at his age it is good he still can I guess .. and where is he .. there is a sign of sorts reading hotel.. and then a shoe.. who owns that shoe? there is no leg I can see fitting into that shoe... a very odd photo indeed and that is a good thing. |

_DSC2671 little girl daddy 800.jpgby pawdrixComment: I am not going to read others comments as I am late in posting so forgive me if I duplicate them
I love the motion blur on the child's foot.. such excitement ... and her expression.. makes me think this is a weekend daddy.. doesn't that break your heart? I don't get the expression on the woman's face to the left.. what is her problem? I really studied her look and it just isn't nice.. The man coming into the shot has a much more benign look and that is ok... this is a photo that is sweet.. that dad really knows how to make his little girl feel loved and isn't that grand! |

Homewardby MelethiaComment: I am not going to read others comments as I am late in posting so forgive me if I duplicate them .... you do a wonderful job of bringing texture and curves into your work ... there is a sense of the older man being alone and I donĂ¢€™t know why I feel that over the other man... maybe because I can see his face and the fact that his head is down..also his slightly stooped shoulders and the blowing leaves add to the scene.. You do such wonderful poignant work that one really needs to take time to truly see all the jewels that are hidden within. |

Wood St. 1:07 PMby bvyComment: aww bvy, you are the master of 'from the hip shots' .. attitude is all over this shot.. wonder what the outcome was.. because I am late in getting to comment I am not going to read the others so forgive me if I repeat them... I like the blown out buildings.. they bring the tension to the ppl in the shot.. the guys hand tells a story if we could see nothing else.. good job as usual. |
