There is one thing that my professor taught me that I'd like to share. When taking pictures of benches, wheels, etc. be sure to include the stability of that object to the ground. In other words, the legs to the bench should be in the photo, or else the benches look as though it is floating.

Very simple, very balances. Good lighting. There is one thing that I will nit-pick though, If you took the shot at a lower angle, the creases in the wall boards in the background, would have stayed on the same angle as the photographs edge, making it even more appealing and giving the viewer a definite sense of balance and stability. Nice shot though.

cute baby, but not a very well balanced nor simple shot. Perhaps just a close up of his face would have done well for symmetry, and with a face like that, sure to be a 10!

Beautifully creative. You really went above and beyond with your attempt to get "out there". I give you props for taking the chance with this one and really utilizing the editing. I gotta make it a fav, just because it's completely unique. Keep pushing the envelope. Sorry you didn't place higher.

Thank you guys and gals for all of your support on this photo. Your comments lifted my spirits pretty high and they were definitely greatly appreciated!

I don't mind that this photo placed where it did. It was meant to be rather controversial to begin with due to the Expert editing, but the fact that you are suppose to stay true to the "integrity" of the photo. I like to take different spins on that. Most people think that you add to photos to enhance them, instead of enhancing my photo by adding, I simple subtracted the surroundings of the photos in order to get a surreal, or as most of you thought, a "publication or illustration" type photo. Still felt I was true to photo quality, but I guess you can only add images or filters in order for a picture to stay true.

I had fun doing it though and it's permanentely part of my portfolio now.

Thank you again for all of your support, I love hearing from you all. Hopefully, there will be more creative original ideas that come out to add some more controversy and discussion. (And maybe a ribbon in the distant, distant future!)

okay, enough now, my head is swelling! (no sexual undertone intended)

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The landscape witha midground subject. Expert editing, so you were creative and very original. I can't thank you enough for breaking up the monotony of "landcape" with something that tells a magnificent story. 11!

Great shot- way too rich in yellow/Bronze to give me that old fashion feel that I was hoping for. Still nice textures and nioce contrast though.
