Not so much silky as it is rough concrete. Not quite sure if you were attempting more of the symbolism side of something or I am just missing the silky-smooth.

Seems like more of a snapshot. Her hands are rather rough looking and the silkyness of the stemss really needs to pop out a bit more. But your color is good and the clarity is descent.

I like the idea, but needs a bit better composition. The light glare off of the horizontal bottle is a bit distracting as well, and the top of the carton needed to be there to complete the frame. The texture of the background seems silky too and I really that.

How did I miss this, it's an instant favorite and the most creative image I've seen on this site. This would make such a wonderful illustration in a childrens book, there are so many stories that can be woven out of this. But to me it tells the tale of a gentle man in the Autumn of his life that is now facing life alone. You are a very creative individual. Did you ever think about writing a book or short story on something you see? Definitely look into it, you seem to have very descriptive thought!
