Harbour Viewsby KimInNBComment: Greetings from CC land!
I see a fellow A40 user! Excellent. My biggest problem with this image series isn't technical. It doesn't seem to tell a story. Especially for a landlubber like me who's not exposed to harbor life. It looks like you ended up shooting on a cloudy day and as a result did not get optimal lighting for some of these shots. That gives the image an overall dark, dreery feel. It's almost like you are too far away. You have a good close-up of the water, then you have some farther shots of buildings. It might be interesting to see what happens if you get closer to the buildings and shoot at a different angle. As an example, straight up on the lighthouse.
The lighthouse is really the strongest element of this image. To create a more effective multi-image shot, I'd reccomend building the story around the lighthouse. If they let you enter the building, shoot some images from inside looking out. Get closer to the objects that tell the story about life in a harbor.

Heineken: Smooth and Refreshing!by BigSmilesComment: Greetings from CC land!
The strongest visual element in this image is the left hand close up on the bottle. My eyes draw left and focus on the details. The condensation on the bottle is a very good element. From that strong image on the left we move to a series of less compelling smaller images. The bottles in the center are interesting, but don't really add much to the overall image. I'd like to see a closer shot of the beer glass, maybe with the same level of detail...showing some of the bubbles from the foam?
It's got the beginnings of a great ad! You have a good title that clearly explains the shot. Nice work!

Colorby AllenComment: This could be a potentially interesting shot. You have an interesting color contrast between the orange mesh, green grass, and white post. The critical problem is in the lighting. Because the light is so harsh, it is washing out the colors. I would suggest either using a polorizing filter or shooting with different light. |

Bona-fide Symmetryby IzadoraComment: Great shot! I love the detail you captured. Perfect balance/symmetry. It feels almost overly sharp. but I am guessing that's an artistic decision. |

Baby Stepsby karmatComment: Nice image. I wonder about your decision to have one shoe unlaced with the other tied for this patricular challenge. Interesting artistic decision. |

Symmetry in Natureby DianaComment: Beautiful flower capture. I see symmetry in the way the leaves curl in. Nice DOF. |
