Through and Throughby LENWOODBLUZComment: Like the sunlight through the back. I think I also might like to see more of the curve in the image. Interesting object! 6 |

Rusted sunriseby pinoComment: I'm going to assume the metal object is the rusty item. And thank you for giving my poor, rust weary eyes a break! Good use of rule of thirds, nice color, and I like the dog. I think it's a dog. 7 |

New Lifeby ShelleyComment: One one level, ick! On the other, great catch! Exposure is off, and the color feels a bit flat. But 7 for meeting the challange topic. :) |

Fire Powerby spydrComment: You know, I almost missed this one. I like the reflection. It's very US centric, but if you have an understanding of US law, then the subtile reflection of the flag in the revolver barrel is a very powerful message. Meets the challenge, has interesting elements photographically...8. One of my highest of the challenge. I'd suggest seeing if you can market and sell this image. Its a political hot potato, but that does not lessen the artistic quality. Excellent shot. :) |

Squatsby TimboMacheteComment: This would be great if you played around a bit to get the reflection of the lifter's face in the mirror. II'd strongly suggest going back and playing around with the angles more to see if you can get a facial reflection. Meets the challenge, but not as visuallly interesting as it could be. 5. |

Two Leg Takedownby tito79_98Comment: You are on the right track. This has the potential to be a very powerful shot. It would be stronger compositionally if you to the right about 2 feet and had a clear shot of the wrestler doing the tossings' face. I'd also suggest using a shorter DOF to blur the people in the background and make them less distracting. Fits the challenge, but too visually cluttered. 4 |

Kickin' & Screamin'by channeledComment: *sigh* Darned return key...
Anyway- Hello from Critique Club.
First off, nice staged shot. It's got a great laugh factor and reminded me vividly of the joys of back to school. I also personally like the fact it was the kids idea.
Technically-
I think the key to improving this shot rests in getting closer. I think getting physically closes as well as zooming in more would give this shot more impact. The expressions on the kids faces would add depth. You also have too much open space around the image. A tighter crop on both the righ and left would give you a stronger image.
Nice work and keep shooting!
