Too contrasty. Hand in particular needs more tonal range. Also, for a closeup like this, the glass really needs to be sparkling clean. But I like the composition and idea! 5

With the bottom cropped so the leaves don't show, this would be a great photo. The subtle blue sheen on the red gives the rose texture that most flower photos seem to lack. 7

I guess my mistake was to not include the word "moon" in the title. I still can't believe that some people thought I just hadn't bothered to crop out some random light in the corner. If I were that lousy a photographer, I wouldn't be entering in DPC!

I sort of remember trying this same angle years ago, but not getting nearly as good results! You have inspired me, I'll have to try this again next time I'm back in Reykjavík.

Very nicely done photo, but relying entirely on the beauty of a statue is difficult. This would be a perfect shot for a catalog selling the statue, but it seems to be missing some spark of photographic creativity.
