My thanks to all for your votes and kind words. I really feel honored to share the front page with the other winners. For BabyHeads, this was real and not staged, and the subjects co-operated quite well. They minded their business and I tried not to interfere. I picked this one out of about 40 shots. It helped to have a sunflower as tall as myself so I could stand up and set up the tripod and wait for the right moments. At one point there were 4 bees on the same flower head!

I like the composition, but image would have been much better if you could have put him on a solid background of some sort. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to pick him up!

Don't see any fauna in here, but sure is a nice flora image. I would have cropped out the oof tulip on the right hand side. Lovely coloring.
