I think this turned out great! Also thanks for the tip on using a luminosity blend to increase the contrast; I tried it immediately and love it!

Holy cow, this is fabulous! I love the violet flowers against the black, and the way your flowers absolutely glow! This has got to be one of the most effective and realistic uses of the Flaming Pear Flood filter I've ever seen, I thought it was a real reflection in water!

Love your choice of DOF for this shot! My eye is drawn to how the fuzzy flower mimics the bee's head fuzz -- fantastic!

The black sky looks great! The blue building and cranes look like a model, and then the foreground looks more photographic. This results in a very cool effect!
