Grandeurby alanfreedComment: Excellent composition and use of wide angle lens. Unfortunately, both the sky and the water are rather uninteresting. How about a B&W conversion mostly from the red channel? You could also use the green channel to get some tonal separation between the water and the sky. |

Tevereby TychoComment: Aaahh, Rome.... Excellent processing and very nice tones. I like the composition too, with a good interesting foreground, and then the curve of the river leads the eye into the distance to the dome (San Pietro?) and the very interesting sky. Could be on the cover of any tourist guide. Good work. |

Robber Flyby GregoryBComment: The fact that it's sitting on a piece of barbed wire makes this not "another bug shot" and gives a lot of conceptual contrast (if such a term exists :) |

Crossroadsby GiorgioComment: Excellent - very well framed, bringing the attention to the focus point both by contrast, tones and leading lines. Very good B&W conversion too. I am afraid it might get voted down here as the subject is somewhat small for DPC size and fast voting. |

The Jumperby cpanaiotiComment: Excellent moment and very well captured. Unfortunately, there are a couple of distractions in the image. I guess the thing in the bottom left could have been cropped out. I can't really figure out what it is either. |

freedomby magueroComment: The moment is well captured, but the image is underexposed. I think a simple Levels adjustment in Photoshop would have improved that dramatically. |

Story of a friendshipby MephistoComment: Very good range of tones in the background, and an interesting story in the foreground. I also like the effect of the long lens projecting the foreground into the vast expanse in the back. |

The passion of rock climbingby keibo84Comment: The B&W is good with nice overall contrast and impact, but the image is a bit too busy and the subjects are small. Plus, on of the subjects is very dark so doesn't really capture the interest, and the other one has no tonal separation from the rocks behind. |

Trinityby inshaalaComment: Looks like a long exposure to get some cloud movement and this silky smooth, very beautiful sky. The composition is good too, but to me it feels a bit overcooked in processing, the lighting looks a bit unnatural. |
