...kiss the tired ghosts of time and circumstance...by xianartComment: It's a good idea and take on the theme, unfortunately the lighting lets the image down a bit IMHO. It's rather flat on the left side where the interest of the viewer should be, and blown out and distracting on the right. Good choice of location otherwise, seeming to suggest (to me) a passing moment in a frozen time era. 8 from me. |

Communication Breakdownby escapetoozComment: Very good take on the chosen theme. The blur on the girl makes it look like she and the guy are really in different "planes" with very little chance of meeting somewhere in the middle. |

Dazed and Confusedby jprezantComment: Max points for idea and set-up, very expressive and spot-on, captures a feeling and a state of mind so well. This is what a photo should be all about, so a 9 from me, Unfortunately, let down a bit by execution and technicals IMHO. The blue color cast affecting only part of the image is distracting. Also, a large part of the photo is a rather gray and uninteresting wall. As a result, the image feels "flat". |

In My Time of Dyingby shamerComment: This is my favorite "In my time of dying" photo in this challenge, and there have been a few. Walking into the strong light, out of the clutter of this hallway... I like th interpretation a lot. Good contrast, silhouette is well defined and very good visual "punch". |

THERE'S That Confounded Bridge !by mgsmith53Comment: The symmetry and the repetition of the pattern work so well in this image. It makes it simple, yet somehow complete. It is a bridge that you can see one looking for, because it just seems suspended somewhere in space... The yellow cast gives it an old, and rather timeless look. |

Stairway to heavenby geoComment: If there is a photo that can capture the "Stairway to Heaven" than this is it... So many things going on that I can't quite explain, much like our own life and struggle for the Stairway. At the same time tormenting, promising, confusing. My choice for Red ribbon. |

It is to you I give this tune (Rain Song) by libertyComment: Obviously it all starts with the great expression, piercing gaze and the tilted head that works very well. But also, very good B&W conversion, the vignetting works well and even an unusual border that works. Good job - my choice for the Yellow ribbon. |

Simplicityby keibo84Comment: A very simple image indeed, but so powerful. Excellent composition, feels extremely balanced between the trees and the shadows... Actually, I couldn't realize what "made" this shot for me until a moment ago - it's the shadows that complete it and make it full. The slightly darker corner somehow contributes as well. 10 from me and my Red ribbon winner. |
