Not entirely sure what this is. That is the only reason I scored it low. It appears to be well focused, and seems to adhere to the challenge guidelines but not knowing what I am looking at (or any clue at all) is a major distraction for me. Could it be a barrette? A piece of glass?

I think maybe if you were to back the lens down a little in order to show us a tad bit more of the subject that it would be a better scoring...at least by me...photograph. Maybe a different angle. Depth of field? I don't know. Like I said... it appears to be a nice photo but since I think i SHOULD know what it is, but don't, I couldn't score it higher than a 4. Sorry!

Very nice photograph. Although this photo does stay within the challenge, I would have liked to have seen more of the horse. This breed (Friesen? I think) is a study in strength and impressiveness and although it is hinted at here, I think that a shot of the whole shoulder would give the same effect as here, but also of the beauty of the horse itself.

I do entirely enjoy this photo!! (8)

This photo...although beautiful and poignant in itself... is a true representative of a photo-journalistic approach to photography. A picture is worth a thousand words they say, this photograph says so much more.
