I like the mood of the dark alley and the yellowish light. Beyond that, there really isn't enough to grab my attention for long. The cars add too much of a mundane element, detracting from the spooky quality, in my opinion.

I like the odd, gingerbread looking house. I see that it is really just an ordinary Cape decorated for Halloween but the awnings and the dripping stuff nake it look like something out of a wierd storybook. It isn't really a great photo but I like the feel of it anyway.

Small Town; Big Sky

I like the expanse of huge starry sky. There is a nice tension between the sky and the landscape at the bottom half of the frame. This almost looks like a book illustration rather than a photograph. Very nice.

This looks a bit blurry---like it was taken without the benefit of a tripod. I don't see a lot to focus on. That dark blobby shape takes up an awful lot of the picture plane without any payoff in terms of interest. I don't really see a focal point here. Whatever it was about this scene that spoke to you hasn't really been communicated to me in this shot.

Good exposure. Just my opinion, but this is a rather mundane interpretation--kind of like an inexpensive postcard. The horizon is a bit tilted.

You've met the challenge and shown a part of something. I don't find that it was done in a very compelling way, however. This composition appears random and unthought out to me. There is nothing in this composition to hold my interest in terms of subject matter. As an abstract, it fails to appeal to me, also. The lines, shape, and color don't create enough visual harmony or dynamic interest for me.
