BONUSby bikefreakComment: I like the color and the pinball machine as subject matter but ultimately the blurred background looks more interesting to me than the foreground. |

The Spoonby lowonenergyComment: This could have been sharper around the rim of the spoon. I feel like the spoon could be looming a bit larger in the frame. This small, it lacks the boldness it takes to make a shot of an ordinary object really dynamic. I like the nice soft blur of the handle in the distance and the pristine white background . |

Crimson Zenby elee3009Comment: I like the bold contrast of purple and orange and the blurred lights in the background. The smaller incense stick and the odd lumpy shape behind complicate the composition. |

Alstromeria: Peruvian lilyby AzCKellyComment: This is kind of ho-hum to me. I think eliminating the mums in the background so that there is only a single species represented would have lent more weight to your title and made for a simpler composition. The bright magenta, although it is blurred draws the eye to no effect. The leaf at the bottom of the frame should have either been cropped or placed in the frame in a more thought out way. As it is, it is competing with the flower for focus. |

Stare Downby jonnieComment: I don't think that the cat's nose is it's most compelling feature. The sharper focus should have been on his eyes. blurring out the nose instead. |

S2 Turbineby ecameronComment: Well done. This is kind of a ho-hum subject for me, though. I've seen a lot of this type of train shot (toy or otherwise) on DPC and they never interested me much in the first place. After seeing the umpteenth photo like this it is hard to look at one with a fresh perspective. I'm not crazy about that really wide border and my instinct is that you could have been a teeny bit more generous with the cropping so that there was a little more space above the subject and just in front to create more of an feeling of movement. Technically, it looks good to me. |

Never seen it that way beforeby LokiComment: A nice effort. There is a bit too much blurred empty space without enough contrast of tonality for my liking. Perhaps a tighter crop and a bit closer focus on the main subject. |

Hatchby marvinComment: Nice contrast of bright color against a white background. The glare on the ceramic egg is a bit harsh. I don't care much for this rather narrow cropping. I would crop about an inch of the right side of the frame
so that there isn't quite as much white space surrounding the red egg. |

Arri 12000watt Tunsten Lighting Fixture Scrim Bagby radioninComment: While this shows shallow depth of field, the drab colors, this bag and its contents just don't evoke any response other than 'ho hum' from me. I don't care for such a narrow vertical crop. There is a little bit of interest in the texture of the rope. Sorry, that's the best I can come up with. |
