Reflecting on Formby benjybobsComment: Very interesting. I like the soft focus, though I suspect others won't. I have a single beef and that is the sharper focus on the object directly behind his nose and left shoulder. |

County Courthouseby GermaineComment: This is too much pattern. It's so busy that my eye doesn't have a chance to rest. I think a tight crop on a single area of tile (either on the stairs or in that area on the wall at the top of the stairs) would have made a more effective statement. |

A Beautiful Mindby crabappl3Comment: I like how flat and contrasty this is. I'm guessing others won't but I could be wrong. My only beef is I'd like to see a boost in the saturation levels. |

Concentric Christmasby genxm5Comment: A nice effort. It's a bit small and the lines radiating from the top and bottom distract from overall pattern. |

Serpentineby TammerComment: I think a tighter crop to eliminate the gravel and the snake's face and a bit darker in the shadow areas of the scales. Also, much greater depth of field is needed so that the pattern really stands out. The foreground is too soft. |

Descending Fungi Patternby joycobbComment: Very nice. The lines radiating out at the sides are a distraction for me. I can see you tried hard to blur them out....it's the sort of thing that makes you wish for beyond basic editing so you could clone them out. |

Wanna Ride?by ShaneBlakeComment: I think a closer and lower angle of view would improve this. I don't care for the shine and the blue cast to the foreground. |

inspirationby Car54Comment: It is hard to see what the title is referring to. It takes a second to realize this is a concert hall of some sort. Mostly, I'm seeing the backs of peoples' heads. I think this might be a case in which it would have been better to focus on the performer(s) and blur the audience. The focal point of this photo seems to be the gentlemen's rather shiny ear which leads my eye directly to the head of the woman directly in the middle of the lower portion of the frame. Then I see the blurred forms in the background which has taken me the entire time I've been writing to figure out that all those blobs of light are a chorus. I thought I was seeing a blurred out chandelier. |

Bonaparteby fredandaudComment: This is fine from a technical and compostional standpoint. The subject is very ho-hum for me. |

Whoops, missed the chimney!by LalliSigComment: This must have taken a few takes. This is one of those shots where I can't imagine it anywhere outside a challenge. Without the title I would think,"Huh? Why photograph this?" I like a photo to make some kind of statement, be it visual, emotional ,or informational, and this just doesn't do any of those things. I can't fault the technical aspects. |
