Taken of a Holiday celebration under low light conditions. Wanted to separate the foreground from the background. Used Sony DSC-RI which cannot be listed yet.

It is hard to see what the title is referring to. It takes a second to realize this is a concert hall of some sort. Mostly, I'm seeing the backs of peoples' heads. I think this might be a case in which it would have been better to focus on the performer(s) and blur the audience. The focal point of this photo seems to be the gentlemen's rather shiny ear which leads my eye directly to the head of the woman directly in the middle of the lower portion of the frame. Then I see the blurred forms in the background which has taken me the entire time I've been writing to figure out that all those blobs of light are a chorus. I thought I was seeing a blurred out chandelier.

I like your title and theme but imo, feel that a focus other than the gentleman's back of the neck might have worked better.

a little middle on the histogram but still a well done image...B&W may have been more dynamic...but i'm sure u tried that...and how a well used DoF to creat a very graphic and classic image
