She stands out because she is dressed like the Statue of Liberty and that's about it. I'm not getting a sense of her standing out from a crowd since the only other people (besides those that we can't see in their cars) are the two kids on bikes.

I'm not getting the sense of a crowd here. I think you were to close to the subject. To me, this doesn't show skill in isolating a subject from a crowd.

This set-up shot goes against the spirit of the challenge which was to "Drop your fear of candids this week" and single out a subject in a crowd. This certainly isn't a candid, it isn't even a crowd. It seems to be missing the point.

I don't really see her as being in a world of her own, which to me implies that she is lost in thought, since she is on a phone. But that's just nitpicking about the title. I kind of like this. The thing I'm not sure about is that the blur looks like it was done with a filter which kind of ruins the effect a bit for me. I could be wrong--what is bothering me is that it looks like the floor is blurred in some areas and that doesn't make sense to me. I'm not against post-processing for effect, and I'm a fan of motion blur, but something about this just doesn't work for me.
