Mongooseby IndigoButterflyComment: I'm not sure about the placement of the shoe near the tire but I like the high key look and even though I generally don't like selective desat, I think it works here. A good effort. |

Peanut Butter and jell O ?!?by mfairbanksComment: Fun idea for combining pb and jello and nowhere near as nausea inducing as some I've seen so far. I think the blob of jello on the jar was one detail too many. It doesn't make sense and it doesn't add to the composition. This leaves something to be desired in terms of exposure and image quality---the jar looks nice and sharp and the color is good, if a bit contrasty but the desert dish is out of focus at the bottom and the whipped cream blends into the background and it is too contrasty. Also, the color of the peanut butter is off. What I'm seeing in my viewer looks more like nutella than peanut butter. It is way too brown. It looks brown on the label of the jar also. Overall, a nice effort. |

after hoursby wnowak1Comment: I'm looking and looking and still I only see one object. Well, their are two shoes but if that was what you were thinking I think it shows a lack of imagination and misses the point of the challenge which was to flex some creative muscle. This is hardly creative or imaginative. |

mmmmmm... Peanut Butter & Jelloby fadedbeautyComment: Why were so many people drawn to the peanut butter & jello combination? YUCK! This is well done. I like the yellow background and the lighting looks well done. There is an odd glare or white smudgy area in the area beyond the chair that detracts from the otherwise high quality of the image. |

My Yellow Beach Cruiserby shabbychicComment: I like the soft, desaturated color. The composition works nicely. You made good use of two of the objects to create an image that actually makes some sense and works outside the boundaries of the challenge. My only beef is that there is an odd static look to the woman on the bike and I would like it if her hair were pulled back so we can see her face. Her hair blends into the background too much. Also, this is really picky, I know, but I wish she had taken off her bracelets and watch. I would like to see the curved line of her arms unimpeded. All the bracelets in close conjection to the handlebars give a choppy, cluttered look to that area. |

Study in snowby puzzledComment: The snow seems a bit of a random choice for this shot which seems better suited to a studio set-up. This looks kind of hastily thought out and thrown together. Decent image quality but to what point? This just doesn't provoke any sort of reaction from me other than the thought that the photographer didn't really have any ideas but wanted to enter the challenge anyway. |

Baby What'd You Step In?by skewsmeComment: There seems to be an extreme curve adjustment that is making it difficult to really make out the shoe. It almost looks as if this were a less than sharp image and the post-processing is an attempt to obscure poor image quality. This just isn't working for me asthetically. |

Saint or sinner?by naomikComment: The shoes don't quite say sinner to me. They are nice but not uber sexy or anything. I like the exposure you got for the satin and the features--nice and rich looking. I think the shoes ruin this for me. They just aren't fabulous enough. Feathery boudouir slippers (mules) would have been very nice against the red satin and you would have killed two birds with one stone. These shoes look a bit serious to me despite the high heel. Nice effort for the time consideration. |

Anyone for Hors-d'oeuvres?by barbaraanneComment: Eyeew! Why is everyone choosing peanut butter and jello? I have a hangover and this isn't helping. Nice lighting and exposure. I'm not sure about the strong vertical format though. I feel like I should see more space to the left of the frame and less at the bottom. |

True Artby espy2Comment: Pretty, imaginative and simple. It looks like it could be a bit sharper though, especially on the jello mold. I hate borders generally but this one works for me. |
