I never really quite figured out the choice in this but I gave it a 5 anyway because I found it oddly appealing. I just assumed the choices had something to do with the bras and you knew what you were thinking. It really isn't the best shot on a technical or compositional level (your comments explain that) but I like the blue awning and the weirdness of the hanging bras.

I thought this was a genuinely charming candid of the two dancers. The grin and raised eyebrows on the left girl are priceless. Don't let them read this comment (if they are your kids) but I think it is quite revealing that the chubbier (sister) has only one ice cream in her hand while the more fit one has two. She also has a much more hesitant, shyer expression. This photo really went beyond the challenge for me.

After reading a few of the other comments, I am amazed that people could not immediately see the choice was 'which kind of icecream'. Good lord! Have they never stood outside an ice cream truck, vending machine, parlour.....?

I really liked this, in spite of the tacky border. An image like this is bound to impact a segment of viewers negatively, regardless of the quality. I thought it was quite a decent street capture and the flag is in good focus. Since I took that to be the main subject, I had no issues with the slight motion blur of the flag-carrying skater and the more extreme blur of the onlookers. If I was going to take issue with anything it would be the cars in the background but those can be blurred out in PS. A fun shot that made this challenge a teeny less boring.

Life or Death Choice?

This does represent a choice. It's kind of a bizarre way of showing it, IMO. It took me a minute to figure out that the stuff in the bottle is some kind of euthanasia. I could say this would be more effective if you eliminated the distracting background but, honestly, I think this set-up is too contrived to make an appealing photo. It didn't move me at all, except that the kitten is cute.

This was one of my favorites. It's a shame it didn't do better. I found the choice to crop out most of the figure an interesting and appealing one. I like the nearly monochromatic color scheme.

I think you may have been too subtle for this site ;-D I got the idea right away. This was one of my higher ranking photos for this challenge. I like the choice of focusing on the salt and pepper in the foreground. I would have scored higher but on my monitors (both Apples) the foreground looked quite a bit underexposed.

I really liked this shot. I like the strange environment all the grills and the rustic building create. I gave it a 6 (very high for me in this challenge). I guess you fell victim to 'doesn't meet the challenge' scoring. Too bad.

I came across this shot reading the comments of a someone who is currently under fire in the forums. I really like it. It is a simple, bold, eye-catching composition. What is interesting is the low placement of the fence in relation to the rest of the frame and the carefully considered use of the blue and yellow. A very refreshing shot. Too bad it wasn't a close-up of a bird or some other form of wildlife or you would have won a ribbon!

Sorry this didn't do better. You've read my comments already. Just thought I'd let you know, I gave it a 7 (high for me).

Just wanted to let you know, this shot got a 7 from me (who had a picture of an empty bench which placed even lower, ;-D). I thought this was a great shot and totally conveyed the idea of waiting.
