Love the capture! The large elements in this picture - rocks and size of animal - to me make this strong texture really work with the image for a wonderful painted effect.

If you took it further you could almost get an impressionist feeling to this shot. I think this shot is a great candidate for that type of processing. I like the straight on approach to framing for this one.

I like the texture effect of the background against the deer as well. This is another one of those shots with such an intense, deep background that when I move my bar up and down in extremely short quick movements, I can see a movement in the background. Maybe its the lighting in the room or either my monitor going. But it creates a neat 3-d effect to this shot.
