Scorpion

This is my son's "pet" scorpion, named "Scorpion", of course. I just shined a bright light on her(??) and she had a blue-ish tint. She's actually black, but the bright light made her look blue.

Storm Damage

This was my back yard after an ice storm. That is my daughter in the picture and yes, I know she is smiling. Those huge tree branches, suprisingly, didn't even touch the swing set. (Two smaller branches on each side of the slide supported the weight of the large branch.) Anyway, it was hard to get a pic of her NOT smiling - she (and my other kids, and their friends) loved having that branch there to climb on. They were a little disappointed when we had the mess cleaned up.

Counting Down Time with a Paper Chain

I get it! A paper chain is something that people (mostly kids) make around the holidays to count down the days till Christmas. On Dec 1st they make a paper chain using 25 "rings" and each day, they tear a ring off so they'll know how many days until Christmas; thus, counting down the days(time). (I looked it up on google.)
