The formal lines and strong colours of the building in the foreground are perfectly complimented by the stormy tones and softer texture of the sea and islands beyond. Great shot. 9. |

Solid Groundby figmentComment: Great composition here to have the two lines of soldiers on the horizontal thirds with the muted sky and mist (smoke) adding atmosphere. Also a great piece of timing to get the mouted group arriving and interacting with the foot soldiers. Lots to enjoy here. |

Tby Rando D300Comment: Great snarl and some sympathetic PP to draw attention to the face. I might have backed off the sharpening on the whiskers a little (or dulled them) so that they didn't come out as bright white stripes - I think they detract a bit from the face and eyes - especially on his left hand side. |
