Good light and good processing. I'm unsure that the very bright highlights in the trees and leaves doesn't help the perception of the face - but i understand the desire to show the quality of the light.

Strange title for a difficult and quite painful image: there is little sense of rest here. I like it very much - the astringent lines of the composition work very effectively with his apparent disorganisation.

What I like here most is the shadow of that nearest bird: I think a b/w treatment might have helped to bring out such things more strongly - colour here doesn't serve the moment that well.

This is something like the fourth image with this particular de-sat trick - leaving the blues and the purples. It's making me think that there's a problem with my monitor. I don't get it, actually - don't see the point, don't see what the re-emphasising of those particular colours brings to the image, and in fact it seems more like a distraction.

Nice work - great detail, dynamic, processing. My only gripe would be that there is no interaction of the people here - no-one seems to have contact with anyone else: the four primary characters seem to be in their own world. Still, as I said, nice work.

Actually I would categorize this as the diametric opposite of your title - he seems intent and serious beyond his years to me. Nice portrait, but it lacks the candid feel, regardless of the actuality of the situation.
