Found this funny situation. The story goes like this... the girl is afraid of birds and found herself surrounded by a couple as she was having lunch. So in order to distract them, she throws them some of her fries. Of course, this gets them excited and she is forced to throw more to keep them occupied. Soon, more and more birds arrive when they sense the food and it becames mayhem... Guess what's the word on her lips (hint: it starts with S).

Image was cropped, sharpened (unsharpen mask) and resized.

top ten - Great job. I had it scored pretty high. The colors, and the stop action is enhanced by the story it tells. Congrats.

I love the picture. But makes me ask a question that has been bugging me for a long time. When shooting such a picture, do I need a permission of whom I'm shooting? And if not, then is it really okay to publish it like this without their knowledge?
Thanks.

What I like here most is the shadow of that nearest bird: I think a b/w treatment might have helped to bring out such things more strongly - colour here doesn't serve the moment that well.

This is a moment captured that most people just don't see as a great moment here at DPC. I think your timing was perfect and the lighting was working with you. Crop/composition well done. Contrast a little high but what can I expect in bright sunlight? 8

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.

I'm not much for full color candids myself, but that is just my own style. Very good capture on the birds. Nice clarity. Good expression captured. Overall, a good (6) photo to me. With a b/w or deep sepia tone, I would have given it a 7. But a 6 is one of my highest scores given with the entries I have seen in this challenge, so it is a good high scoring photo for me.
