One of my three favourites this week - the others placed 72nd and 109th. Good taste will always be in a minority. But let me just say again, this a fabulous photo.

Of the three best phtos in this challenge, this was the lowest placed: you're a victim of the symmetry obsessives, and thos wwho can't be bothered to read the challenge instructions. never mind, it remains a fabulous photo. The others, by the way, placed 72nd and 101st - so your in pretty good company.

edit: obviously, by 'best', I mean IMO.

It's a complete disgrace that this shot placed 72nd. I thought I was hard done by by those who didn't understand the challenge (or at least took it all too literally), but this beggars belief.

Good luck

Is this the Cutty Sark? Seems oddly familiar ... ;-)
Have you had comments like 'a straight-on shot would be better'? Ignore them, please ignore them. This is a gorgeous shot, and beautifully done.

Up there with the top shots this challenge - something just prevents it being my favourite, but I don't think i could say what exactly - still makes the top 5.

Way too much framing/bordering for me, and I can't make out what's going on: IMO, abstract images need to be really special to work with odd focus - especially b/w shots. Yes, it meets the idea of 'symmetry' - but in a very straightforward way, not really a compositional way.

Very beautiful - title's necessary, I wouldn't have known it was water without a lot of thought. I don't think. Colour's great too. Perfect representation of the challenge. On review: you win, my only 10 this week.

This is a very special photograph. I fear you won't do all that well, but I hope I'm wrong. I think it's exactly the kind of thing the challenge was after, and on top of which it's a very moving image. Good luck.

Gosh that's weird - how many times did you have to clean the lens? is this slightly over-enlarged though? Seems to have lost just that element of detail.
