Ripplesby ScottKComment: Rather good this. Great sense of texture, great depth, beautiful progression of light. Feels a touch not straight, to me: may simply be an optical illusion from the curve of the banding: looking at the very top of the thing though, that impression is reinforced. Fairly minor point though. Best so far. |

Light as a featherby solarysComment: Very obscure - though likeable enough, in its way. I like the impressionistic, wind-blown quality, but it's hard to see it as a portrayal of a quality of texture - more of the quality of the lightness of a feather (in which approach, it's really rather good). 5 |

lakeside texturesby GinaRothfelsComment: Good showing of the surface of the water, but the reflections and the presence of that stalk kind of let the thing down - I think perhaps you've fallen between two stools somehow - it's neither a shot of reflections nor purely of the patterns formed by water. Well exposed though, and with good detail. |

The texture of a handworked timberby jgawrychComment: This appears quite indistinct - not simply because of the very shallow depth of field bt more because that area within the focal plane doesn't have the quality of light needed to really show the texture. There are areas where the feel ought to be evident, but the distinction between those and the more out of focus areas is small. |

stone and treeby hordursvComment: Interesting. Deth of field can't quite cope with the shot as you have it set here - this kind of hyper-focal shot I think requires the use of manual focussing really. Good texture on the nearer wall, a touch too dim and just beyond the focal plane on the farther one. |

Feel my skin...little babyby diegohsComment: The texture still comes through, rather depite than because of the red toning i think. I think perhaps it was a bad idea - that colour, though the photo seems to be a pretty good one beneath it. |

Stawberryby spectraComment: Top background. you've managed to amke the back strawberry look as though its madfe of plastic, and such heavy lighting has reduced the visible texture somewhat. |

Pocket changeby dtouch1Comment: Wonderfully controlled lighting and exposure - not losing the brightness of the subject, yet without that glare so very common in these shots. Very slight drift of focus to the left of frame I think, just doesn't have quite the sparkling sharpness of the other. |

Feel Thy Eye.by moviemanComment: Peculiar composition, this. Not sure what you were trying to communicate, but that expanse of slightly over-exposed skin left of frame is quite a distraction. |

Rusty Stackby cabaComment: Tonally, and technically in terms of detail, faultless. my first reaction was to wish you hadn't included the bunrt-out sky, and then to think how you might have avoided it ... couldn't say, but just 'cos it couldn't be helped doesn't mean it's good. Still, the rest of the image is excellent, love the movement from colour to reflected light as the eye follows around the stack. |
