Knockout. I don't suppose there's much to say about it - everything you hoped it could be, it is, I suspect. Proper grown-up, modern photography.

Wonderful depth of field, definition, neat composition, colour tones perfect, great light. Hate the way you've bordered it - really hate it, but am trying not to let it affect my vote. I think it would sell.

I wonder if this is really close enough to serve: sure it shows location, but there is nothing specific about that location. There are strong elements I really like in it - the texture and depth of the rocks, the poses of the seals - but as successful stock: hell, I don't know.

Excellent - great to see one the more interesting photographers here back on the front page (and in very good company, too). The trip sounds extraordinary. Wonderful work.

Can certainly see a use for it, and the game's in the news worldwide right now. I think I would have wanted you to include the whole shadow, or at least not crop so close to it. I like that it's used, also.

Comment:
As an illustrative idea this is quite strong, but I can't imagine any client wanting it without cropping - surely, the bucket is the subject here, more than the tree? The fade-out of the background is useful, i think - allowing text to show over it, if wanted. I wonder if a little more drama in the light wouldn't go amiss?

I wouldn't quite accept this into my putative agency - the dark and uneven background, the sideways coin reallly doesn't help, and the pig seems brighter than the rest of the image. I couldn't imagine it selling, especially as it's such a cliche of an image. Focus etc. is all OK, but it lacks impact overall.

I can see it having a market, for sure. I have an issue with the non-horizontal, especially for this challenge, and overall the composition seems rather complex for a strong selling image. Good sense of history though, and that would certainly serve.

Comment:
Almost. The light around the bud itself, and the effect on the water, is fine - in the area of the stem and the leaves it becomes evident that is very direct, and quite harsh. The cropping out of the lower leaves seems entirely arbitrary.
