go to collegeby saintaugustComment: I'm amending this comment, not because I've changed my mind, but because I should attempt to be more helpful. For me this photograph is:
1) Offensive: You are making a lot of assumptions about your subject here that may or may not be true. Perhaps you know this person, likely you do not. (The shot appears to be one that was taken clandestinely.) Either way you are using your subject as a means to make your point. And doing it in a rather flip and shallow way. You are not treating either your subject or your audience with respect.
2) Ineffective: Because there is not context to harmonize your subject with your purported message, the effectiveness of the message is reduced.
3) Photographically boring: The picture is uninteresting, cluttered, and unbalanced visually. The blurred greenery in the foreground is very distracting, and your main subject is either too small in the frame (if your intent was to focus in on the face/expression), or to close (if your intent was to give context through the surroundings). |

Fecundityby freakin_hilariousComment: Very funny. I'm going to take this in the satirical spirit which I assume you intended, so I'm calling it brilliant. -9 |

The Soulby whiteroomComment: Absolutely gorgeous photograph. (Lensbaby?) Gave this a 9, would have been a ten, but the font selected for the lower letters looks to clunky and doesn't work with the rest of the image. |

Window to the Soulby PaulEComment: Interesting textures and colors in the iris; like the subtle appearance of the shadow of the cross. Title is highly cliche and the shot overall is a little blah. Point of focus is also off, drawing the viewer away from your intended subject. |

A Vanishing Point A Vanishing Subjectby ColeyComment: I think that the fact that people couldn't figure how you could accomplish this in Basic hurt you on the scoring. Should have placed higher (got on 8 from me). Very well executed and great take on the challenge. |

Tracksby MCCullenComment: Contrary to the comments below, I liked the light in this photo. Nice unique take on the train track approach to the challenge. Got an 8 from me during voting. Should have placed higher. |

A very nice, subtle take on the challenge. I was one of your three 9s. |
