Hi from the Critique Club teammate!

Fit: I'll start by saying that I'm not sure why you worried about this before voting. It clearly has a vanishing point.

Composition: The composition has all the right things...level horison, horison not in middle, leading lines, etc. I do wonder if portrait was the best choice for this though. A landscape orientation may have enhanced the fenceline and thus the vanishing point. We'll not know unless we saw it ;)

Technical: Done well. As commenters said, a little blown in places. Good detail in the sand. I'm guessing that you could't get more from the clouds without destroying the sand?

Feel: The shot meets challenge well but does lack much for the viewer to connect with, hence the many 6's rather than something higher.

Good luck in the upcoming challenges (especially since we are on the same DPL team!)
PM me if you have any queries

A little blown out on the left side. But I like this because it is nice and simple and meets the challenge. Not a lot of wow but it pleases me. 7

I'm a sucker for beach fence photos. :) Personally, I like this. The fence is probably more technically considered a leading line, but eh, I'm not sweating it. Did you fret about the lamp post at the end? Oops! Almost wondered whether you considered cloning it out, but this challenge is running under basic rules...nevermind. :P Actually, the lamp post, for me, works as a stop point. Helps keep me within the image. The sepia tone works well for the mood and emotive feel of a lonely beach on a cloudy day.

Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Love it! The scene looks moody. Not quite a vanishing point, but close.

I think it might have worked even better if the right side was cropped at the end of the fencing, instead of having the traffic light in the shot. However, it is a really nice show of vanishing point.

Balance, contrast, color, clarity and comp are excellent. This is the best of the bunch in my opinion...should get a ribbon.

This is all I ever ask for. Simple, beautiful, tells a little bit of a story (or lets me tell one). 10.
