Thanks for the awesome comment. I love history and old buildings. Went by your portfolio - "Let me drink from the waters" is an incredible image! What a trophy!
Thanks again |

I did shoot one from the center aisle, I'm always one for symmetry. I'll probably post one on this side challenge if I'm not able to get out and shoot one week. Right now I'm striving to make time to get behind the lens each week - this side challenge is awesome! I did't lighten up the cross - there were a couple of lights on it already. Week 3by bassboneComment: I like how you kept details in the darker areas like the wall but didn't loose the details in the mud (floor). Interesting lines. Thanks for sharing! |

Americanaby VeioletsComment: I was wondering why the flag's blue field looked that way and then I read your comments.... OOoohh!
I love the tones! Great job! Was this shot in B&W? |

Pretty Streamby VeioletsComment: I'm not much for the snow (too hot) but I like the tone and contrast. The sides are a bit distracting - wonder why it did that? Thanks! |

JessicaPortrait-33-V4.jpgby 777STANComment: Nice job - it's difficult w/no flash or fill and the sun behind your subject. This is when wearing a white t-shirt really helps 'cause it bounces light for you! Good portrait and pretty subject. |

Daisy-0031by RedDotComComment: Originally posted by colorcarnival: First - the detail you captured on the petals is excellent! They look so soft and the clarity of the picture makes me feel like I can actually reach out and touch them. Now I have a question about your processing. Did you use some kind of dodging on the center part of the flower? The dark area, dead center, pulled my eyes in and then I started looking just above and it looks like a white haze there. Like something is not quite right - but not so wrong that it ruins the picture. It's just something I noticed. Excellent job with the lighting! |

Nope, didn't do any dodging but I did try to layer the petals and the center of the flower differently. I tried to enhance the color of the center (while it was still in color) and I put a sepia tint to the petals. The center of the flower is still green at the darkest spots and yellow in the other parts - see thumbnail image above. Thanks for your feedback!

Downtown Frankfurtby MelethiaComment: Right near the Rhein - I miss Frankfurt. I miss Sachenhausen and german beer and donner k'babs!!
Sorry... shiny objects and favorite cities lead me off on tangents...
The best thing about cloudy days like this is it's like having a big soft box over your head and you can realy pump up the color saturation!
Oh, been to Aviano too - ever go skiing up there?
