Appleby leah53Comment: well, it's red....but, it's grainy and out of focus. Did you use too little lighting perhaps? I'm wondering if the ISO was a bit too low and the shot cropped too much???? That would give that grainy appearance, especially if it was "overprocessed" or "overadjusted". |

Redby gregmComment: Ok.......you know......I have to say that I LOVE THIS!!!!!!! I'm really laughing here. Do you know how many times I've been ticked at my scores after having gone to a LOT of work and effort and thought and time to take a shot, only to have it marked at a 3 or a 4??? And, THIS type of thing is what I had thought of doing! BRAVO!!!!!!!! I'm clapping here for your nerve in doing it! 10 from me just simply for your courage and the statement you're making!!! I can't wait to find out who you are! Unless....you want to let me know. *smile, wink* |

Disaster: Portrait Of The Emotional Aftermathby J-MeComment: Wow, I think that I have learned a great lesson in this particular challenge. It seems that the voters want "literal" and not an artsy statement. One person "got" my statement and said so. I think the rest of the voters prefer a very literal photo. I will not be trying these types of shots for these challenges again. And, the other thing I won't be trying again are the Free Studies! Wow, that's a lot of photos, with a lot of varying ranges to vote on. Too tough a field for me to crack!
All in all, I LOVE this shot because it has a lot of meaning behind it for me. And, while I'm disappointed with it's score (and really ticked at the 1's and 2's and even 3's on this shot as it didn't deserve that low a score)and placement, I will use it for other purposes now.
I thank those who truly "got it"!!! |
