Love the way that you cropped this and the meaning behind the crop! It says to me, personally that the person is not the "poverty" but their outstretched hand and the amputated limb IS! Nicely done! 10

True Poverty

The "Plea" that I see on this man's face, truly captures the poverty. Really a great capture! I'm sure that you're getting some dings because of the focus but, to me, this shot is worthy of a great mark. Technical merit is not what photography should be about. It's what you capture, not HOW you capture it. Too many DPCers are ignoring this and too many technically well done shots are winning that have NO real essence or value to them. This is a 10 from me for a tremendously emotive shot!

I didn't enter this challenge because I couldn't come up with a concept for it! So, I have to say that I thought this was ingenious actually! And, while I had no idea who this shot belonged to while voting, I can honestly say that this was a great shot and concept.

For someone who is going along, TRYING to find something to create a negative comment, anything is fair game!

The voting in here lately has been really "off kilter" as have some of the comments. I have no idea what has been happening in here but, I can say that some people wouldn't know a good shot if it came up and hit them in the face! :)

And, the routing comments were so helpful, were they not?! ;-)
