Oh, now this is precious!!! I love the idea of this and the fact that you found a way to incorporate sand in your shot and the way that you're portrayed it. I'm sure that it's not going to hit a lot of voter's tastes as it's not going to match up to the lovely sand scenes that the warmer climates can capture, but I like it!!! 9

Interesting editing as the sand looks more like a patina'd piece of copper than sand. I'll have to find out what you did during the editing. Love the angle of this and the border works well. Should do well.

I love the texture and the blurred side to this, Michelle. It gives it interest because in full focus, it would been a bit boring. WITH the focus being blurred on the one side, it's really given it some depth and perspective. It's always difficult to photograph coins so, really nicely done! Kudos!

I thought this one was really interesting! Actually, I thought it was part of a fish tank, taken through the glass and water with reflections off the back glass of the tank! You fooled me and I really liked it!

Keep experimenting like this because it's really interesting and very creative! :)

This is an absolutely stunning image. It has such a feel to it and "mood". LOVE IT!!!

ETA: I love the shadow from the tree. I think it works perfectly well to add "mood" to this shot. Getting rid of the shadow would have focused solely on the tree itself and lent itself to more of a stock shot look. This entire shot, including the shadow has a real feel to it and it's what makes the shot what it is!

Photographers do not live by stock shots alone! ;-)

I LOVE the way that her white jacket blends in with the white background to reveal just her hair and frilly blouse. It really frames her face and puts the emphasis on her face, drawing the viewer's eye to her. Great pose too! Love the way that she's looking away from the camera.
