Evening Rain, Kayla At The Shoreby chromeydomeComment: Intriguing piece. Nicely shot. For whatever the reason, I think that I'd have preferred to have the background clear of the boat...although that may not have been possible if it was stationary at the time LOL I think I may have cropped it out for effect. But, still a great piece. |

Transitionby spiritualspatulaComment: The clouds on this just seem to be hanging in mid air as though they have a life of their own. Kind of a 3D look. Nicely done! |

Cuttalossa Fallsby digifotojoComment: Absolutely stunning shot of falls. The greenery at the top in contrast to the browns at the bottom give this shot real life. The softness of the falling water gives it a misty look and really makes this shot. |

Your Coat Has A Face.jpgby J-MeComment: Originally posted by colorcarnival: Did you take this from the car? Looks like you topazed it too as it has the signature color pop. Too bad that person walking didn't have on a fur coat - that would have been a great feeding frenzy to capture! |
LOL...yeah, I took it from the car window while briefly stopped in traffic. And, NO ONE wore a fur in front of that gang! As I inched forward in traffic, I heard them get rather raucus. Unfortunately, all that I had with me that day was my P&S camera. My DSLR would have taken a much better shot. Drats! Even then, I had to fumble to get my P&S and get the window down, angle the camera so as not to get the frame of the car as the better part of the picture. It was quite a struggle. On the way back, I leaped out of the car to catch another shot of them, slipped on a pile of snow and ice and went right UNDER the car. I didn't get that shot! LOL |

Hiding Under The Table.jpgby J-MeComment: Originally posted by digifotojo: I'm laughing just imagining you crawling around on your hands and knees under the kitchen table trying to capture this. It's excellent. I particularly like the tilt which gives it a feeling of looking through a child's eyes. Unless that was just your one-hand-held camera tilt.. happens to me all the time, lol. I also love your PP, the detail is amazing, especially the teddy bear! Was that your new software? It's really fantastic. The muted colors are perfect for this. I can't find anything wrong with it. Very very well done, Jamie!!! |
LOL...I was crawling under the table and it hurt! I'm getting too old to be on my hands and knees or laying, sprawled on the floor!
I did use a tabletop tripod and I tilted it and kept it straight. For some reason, the angled shots had the most appeal to me as it felt as though it was from the viewpoint of a child rather than a square-on shot. |

vaugely looks like ......by ralphComment: Really lovely pod! The capture is really great! The details are crisp and clear. I'm just wondering if voters are going to see it as "horizon"???/ Hope that it's doing well??? |

Floatby colorcarnivalComment: No wonder he's green! I'd be green too if I were on a tilt! I think it's great that you managed to get a "horizon" in there because it makes the challenge criteria. Great capture! |
