Sinfully Good Deviled Eggsby kostiaComment: I love these little guys, and so am anxious to see your recipe! Fun title, too! You might want to experiment with point of view here some more. The depth of field you're using is usually used to indicate that the part that is in focus is just like the parts that are out of focus. However, in this shot, we can really see everything, so we (I) just wish it were all in sharp focus. If your point of view were much closer, say on one or two eggs, then the depth of field could imply that there are more eggs behind the one in focus and that a sinfully good time awaits if we were to indulge. Just something to think about. Nice work! |

Coffee Can Breadby Dave GordonComment: THis looks uniique and fun. I like how you show the empty can and the bread outside of it--as well as a loaf inside a can. Interesting composition and arrangement for this shot, too. You might want to experiment with point of view here, too. This shot shows me that the bread is unique because it is baked in a can. This is a pretty straight-on shot. Would this bread look even more delicious up closer? How much coffee can do you need to show so there is as little as possible, but we still know its a coffee can? Just things to think about. Good luck and bon appetit! Nice work. |

Fairy Godmother Cakeby SamaraComment: Now this looks good! I like the elegant dinnerware and lace that sets if off. The little fairy godmother is also a nice touch! The highlights and shadows are a bit harsh here, so you may want to experiment with diffusing your light, or just take everything outside on a bright day, find some solid shade (like in your garage), and just use sunlight--you'll get natural colors, more pleasant hightlights and shadows and a generally more appealing shot. Just a thought. Again--nice work and good luck. Most of all--have fun eating this cake! |
